AMARYLLIS - flower pattern, various colors

It is composed of trays, coasters and trivets, the latter also useful as underplates. The collection fits well in both a classic context and a modern environment.

AMARYLLIS was born as a "winter collection". Since childhood, this elegant and solemn flower has been the Christmas flower "par excellence" in the house in Sweden where I grew up. For my flowers I chose the lighter variant with streaks tending towards pink in a shade inspired by the beloved "Farmor" (Grandmother) armchair by the Swedish designer Carl Malmsten (1888-1972) in my mother's house.

The trays and trivets in this collection exist in 4 basic colours:

the trays : cream white, antique pink, turquoise and mustard yellow. The trivets: antique pink, mustard yellow, blue and green. The choice is yours!

The collection was born in winter but its cheerful pattern will accompany you also during the summer months.

Curiosity: The flowers of the Amaryllis symbolize elegance, pride and shining beauty combined with shyness. "Amaryllis" owes its name to a woman of Greek origin. In Greek the verb "amarysso" means "to shine" or "to shine".

In symbolism the plant is also known as "mother-in-law and daughter-in-law", because the corollas of the same stem always bloom with their backs to each other.
